History
In November 1997 Goldbelt purchased the Westmark Hotel Juneau, changing the name to the Goldbelt Hotel Juneau. The site where the hotel is located is special to many Goldbelt shareholders as it is the one of the original sites of the Tlingit Auk Village.

In 1999 Goldbelt completely renovated the ground floor of the property. The focus of the renovation was to modernize the hotel and reflect the rich heritage and culture of Goldbelt shareholders. Original, museum quality Tlingit artwork, commissioned by Goldbelt, is on permanent display throughout the lobby.
